Last days of summer

Bevor ich mich ganz den Herbsttrends- und farben hingebe und in meinem Kleiderschrank nur noch Camel farbene Klamotten zu finden sein werden, poste ich schnell noch meine Lieblingshose dieses Sommers. Oft getragen, erst jetzt (wo der Sommer vorbei ist) gepostet. Das gute Stück ist total bequem und der absolute eye-catcher. So ungefähr jeder starrt einen an, wenn man die Hose trägt. Mir solls recht sein. Bin eben overdressed und steh dazu. 

Die Schuhe sind ganz neu. Die und noch gefühlte andere 100 paar Schuhe hab ich mir vor kurzem bestellt beim Versandhaus meines Vertrauens. Ich weiß die rote Sohle ... Laboutin-Abklatsch.. aber trotzdem finde ich sie einfach toll!

ENG: Before I devote myself to autumn trends- and colors and my wardrobe will only contain camel colored clothes, I post my fav pants of this summer. Worn very often, posted for the first time just now (that summer is over). The good piece is totally comfortable and an absolute eye-catcher. Pretty much everybody is starring at you, while wearing these pants. It's alright with me. I am overdressed and that's all me.

My shoes are brand new. I ordered this pair (and it feels like 100 other pairs of shoes) shortly. I love the red sole ... Laboutin copy ... but still I think they're great!

Steps One Megamix

Steps was a British pop group formed on 7 May 1997 and achieved a series of charted singles between 1997 and 2001. Their debut single was "5,6,7,8" which achieved minor success compared with the success of their other singles. It peaked at #14 on the UK Singles Chart. The group, together with Tina Cousins, Cleopatra, B*Witched, and Billie were part of the ensemble that released "Thank ABBA for the Music" (a medley of ABBA's "Take A Chance On Me", "Dancing Queen", "Mamma Mia" and "Thank You for the Music") in March 1999, as performed at the BRIT Awards. Their final single released as a group was a double A-side of "Words Are Not Enough" and "I Know Him So Well" which achieved a peak of #5 on the UK Singles Chart. The group disbanded on 26 December 2001. This is a 2 part series megamix, the 1st part will feature hits from 1997 to 1999. Help I'm a tourist!

Hier der Letzte Post zu meinem Kurztrip nach Swinemünde. Wir waren nicht weit weg von der deutschen Grenze und dann auch noch in meinem Heimatland und doch kam ich mir dort wie ein vertrottelter Tourist vor. Das lag vor zum einen daran, dass die Leute dort teilweise ziemlich unfreundlich waren (was ich sonst so gar nicht aus Polen kenne) und einen zum Beispiel gleich beleidigt haben, wenn man sich am Hafen nicht jeden Hafenrundfahrtsflyer in die Hand drücken ließ. Vielleicht sahen wir mit meiner Kamera einfach zu sehr nach Touristen aus und wurden deswegen von diesen Leuten angesteuert. Na ja wie auch immer. 
Die Zweite Situation, bei der ich mir vorkam wie ein dämlicher Tourist, war als ich spät abends (oder eher nachts) mit meinen Freundinnen den Weg von der Promenade Richtung Strand ging, um meinen Freund anzurufen. In der Nähe des Strandes hatte ich nämlich wieder deutsches Netz (war fast an der Grenze). Als ich Empfang hatte blieben wir stehen. Dann hörte ich knacken im Wald. Zuerst dachte ich, dass da Leute von Strand kommen, doch dann wurde es mehr und mir wurde klar, dass Menschen, wohl eher den Weg nehmen würde, als sich durchs Gestrüpp zu kämpfen. Es kam ein Grunzen von beiden Seiten dazu. Mir fielen die Schilder entlang der Promenade ein: "Wildschweine nicht füttern". WILDSCHWEINE!!! Mir war klar, dass es welche gab, aber ich hatte nicht damit gerechnet, dass sie so nah rankommen würden. Ich hatte echt Angst und hockte mich auf die Bank (wegrennen kam nicht in Frage, da ich Wedges anhatte). Und als dann von der Beachparty einige Leute den Weg entlang kamen, sind wir schnell aufgesprungen und abgehauen. Als wir dann zum Apartment gingen (mussten am Wald entlang) hatte ich immer noch Angst.  
War das eine unwissender Tourist- und Großstadtmädchen-Überreaktion? Nachdem ich gegoogelt hab, weiß ich dass, die nicht so gefährlich sind. Es sei denn sie haben Kleine dabei und fühlen sich bedroht, aber sie kommen normalerweise nicht auf Wege, sondern bleiben versteckt im Wald. Hätte ich das mal vorher gewusst, hätte ich mir den Schock erspart!!!

ENG:  Here is the last post about my short trip to Swinemünde. We haven't been far from the german border and we were in my mother country, but I felt like a goofy tourist over there. Which was partly to the fact, that the people there treated us very unkind (which I never experienced before in Poland) und insulted us for example, when we didn't let them thrust every harbor tour flyer in our hands. Maybe with my camera we just looked just too much like tourists and that's why they did head for us. Howsoever.
The other situation, where I felt like a dumb tourist, was one evening (or rather night), when I was walking with my 2 friends from the promenande in direction to the beach. I wanted to call my boyfriend and near the beach I had german cell coverage. We stopped, when my cell finally got a signal. Then I heard a crack in the woods. My first thought was, that there are people coming from the beach, but then I heard more cracking and thought, that people would have used the sidewalk. Then there was grunting from behind and in front of us. The signs on the promenade occurred in my head: "Don't feed the wild boars". WILD BOARS!!!!! I knew that they were around here in the woods, but I would never have thought, that they may come so close to us. I was really afraid and perched on the bench (running away was out of question, because I was wearing wedges). And then a crowd came the way up from a beach party, we jumped up and bolted away.  To get to our apartment we had to go along the wood. I was really scared.
Was this an ignoramus tourist- and city dweller-overreaction? After googling I found out, that they are not that dangerous, just when they have their piglets with them and fear a danger. But normally they don't cross human ways and stay hidden in the woods. If I only knew before, would have saved me the shock!!!

Lookout in the dark

Hier ein weiteres Outfit von meinen Kurztrip. Ein echt gutes Foto ist leider nicht entstanden, da wir die Kamera erst nach einigen Gläsern Himbeer-Bier gezückt haben und es Stockdunkel am Strand war. Die Abende, die wir dort verbracht haben waren super. Wir waren auf Beachpartys und machten Spaziergänge auf der Promenade, wo wir mal wieder total overdressed waren unter all den Touristen. Aber dafür hatten wir eine Menge Spaß, es lief gute Musik und die Stimmung war einfach super.

Über mein Outfit: Der Blazer ist ziemlich neu in meinem Kleiderschrank und hat sich trotzdem bereits zum Lieblingsbasic-Blazer hochgetragen ;)

Die Wedges sind auch neu (Primark). Ich kann sie nur herzlichst weiterempfehlen. Sehr bequem und sehen einfach toll aus. Leider erkennt man sie nicht so gut, aber ich werde sie bestimmt bald wieder tragen und posten.

ENG: Here is another Outfit from my short trip. We didn't manage to produce a really good picture, because we started shooting after a few raspberry flavored beers and it was pitch-black on the beach then. The evenings we spend there were epic. We were on beachpartys and made walks on the promenade, where we were, compared to the tourists overdressed once again. At least we had a lot of fun, good music was played the mood was great.
About my Outfit: The blazer is new in my wardrobe and yet it wore it's way up to my fav basic-blazer ;)
The wedges are new, too (Primark). I can commend them highly. Really comfy and good-looking. Unfortunately they're hard to recognize on these pics, but I'm sure I will wear and post them soon again.

It feels nice

Ich habe mit 2 Freundinnen einen kurzen Trip nach Swinemünde gemacht. Wir waren dort, um bei dem minderjährigen Bruder meiner Freundin und seinen beiden Freunden  nach dem Rechten zu sehen. Die Mütter der Jungs machten sich Sorgen, dass die Jungs sich nicht gut benehmen und haben uns zur Kontrolle geschickt. Dafür, dass wir mal nachsehen, durften wir dort fast umsonst Übernachten. Wir haben die Zeit genutzt einige Fotos zu knipsen und versucht auch ein wenig Sonne abzubekommen, doch jedes Mal wenn wir am Strand waren, verschwand die Sonne sofort hinter einer großen Wolke, sodass wir nichts für unsere Bräune tun konnten.

Aber trotzdem ist so ein kurzer Trip mal ganz nett und (ent)spannend. Mein Outfit vom ersten Tag ist auch ganz casual und gemütlich.

ENG: I made a short trip to Swinemünde with 2 friends. We were there to check if everything is in order with my friend's  underage brother and his two friends. Their mothers worried, that they might not behave as they should and send us there to keep an eye on them. Therefore we nearly didn't pay anything for the overnight stays. 

We used the trip to take pictures and tried to sunbathe, but every time we got to the beach, the sun hid behind a big cloud, so we couldn't do anything for our tan.

But still such a trip can be very nice and relaxing.
My outfit from the first day is very casual and comfy, too.

Ich finde die Farbe des Anhängers total schön und werde das weiße Band bei Gelegenheit durch eine silberene Kette austauschen./ I like the color of the necklace so much and I will replace the white band with a silver chain.

Lookbook

Ich bin nun seit wenigen Tagen auch bei Lookbook dabei. Seit einiger Zeit hab ich darüber gegrübelt, ob ich das wirklich mitmachen will und mir dann vorgenommen, dass Projekt Lookbook in den Ferien in Angriff zu nehmen. Es lohnt sich wirklich: Lookbook macht Spaß und biete viele Inspirationen.

Wie ich eben bin, will ich in dem Lookbook auch (fast) alle meine Looks haben und deswegen sind dort vorerst nur meine älteren Outfits zu sehen, die ihr möglicherweise schon auf dem Blog gesehn habt. Ich werde jeden Tag eines zufügen, bis ich auf dem aktuellen Stand bin (es werden auch nicht Looks aus dem Blog bei Lookbook zu sehen sein. Nur die, die ich am Liebsten mag).

Bis dahin könnt ihr sozusagen euren Lieblingslook von mir hypen.

Morgen poste ich neue Fotos hier vom den ersten Teil meines Kurztrips nach Polen, den ich mit 2 Freundinnen gemacht habe und bei dem einige Outfitfotos entstanden sind. 

ENG: Since a few days I'm participating at Lookbook. I thought about taking part for a longer period of time and finally decided to realize this project during holidays. It's really worth: Lookbook is fun and gives a lot of inspiration. 

I want all my Looks in that Lookbook, that's why I started with older Looks, you may have already seen on my blog. I will update Lookbook every day, until I catch up with my actual looks (I won't show all on Lookbook - just the Looks I like the most).

Waterfront

Ich war wiedermal zum Großeinkauf bei Primark in Bremen. Diesmal musste mein Freund dran glauben und mich begleiten. Wir hatten zum Glück keinen Stau und bei Primark war es auch nicht überfüllt. Ich fand viele tolle Sachen, die eine nicht so tolle Summe ergaben. Aber es kommt ja schließlich nicht oft vor, dass man nach Bremen fährt. Ich hab dort viele Accessoires ergattert und an Kleidung bloß Basic-Shirts und einen süßen Rock. Dafür habe ich gleich 3 Paar Schuhe mitgenommen. Ich habe sie alle schon mehrmals getragen und muss sagen ich liebe alle 3. Das sind meine Favoriten für diese Saison. (Ein paar seht ihr im letzten Post... meine Chronologie ist nicht ganz stimmig! Sorry dafür.). 

Ach und glaub nicht ich hätte einen Pink/Rosa-Tick entwickelt. Das ist Zufall, dass ich Lust hatte das so hintereinander zu posten. Dazwischen liegen noch andere Outfits, die nicht rosa sind, aber wie gesagt... meine Chronologie ist schrecklich...

ENG:I was once again in Primark, Bremen, doing bulk buying This time my boyfriend was the who was accompanying me. We were lucky not to get into traffic jam and luckily Primark was not so crowed either. I found nice stuff, but the total price was not so nice. But it is not so often, that I am in Bremen. I found mainly accessories and speaking about clothes, I just bought basic shirts and a cute skirt. Therefore I bought 3 pairs of shoes. I've already worn them several times and I love them all. They all are my seasons favorites. (You can see a pair in the post before... my chronology is not quite consenteneous! Sorry for that.)
Ah, please don't believe I developed a rose/pink mania. Its coincidence, that I posted two pink containing outfits in a row. In between I wore other outfits, which were not pink at all, but as I said... my chronology is awful...

Fashionevent

Vor zwei Wochen war ich mit einer Freundin bei einem Fashionevent, welches eine Mischung aus Modenschau und Tanz war. Dabei haben sich 5 Modestudentinnen unter dem Namen PipkaPipka zusammengetan und ihre Ideen vorgestellt.

Einige Elemente kannte ich bereits von der A+ Show, trotzdem war diese einzigartig und interessant und die Tanzdarbietung gab dem ganzen einen gewissen Reiz. Allerdings war der Raum viel zu klein für so viele Menschen. Ich war froh, nach der Show an die frische Luft zu kommen. Bei dieser Gelegenheit hab ich auch gleich mein Outfit abknipsen lassen.Ich freu mich vor allem so ein cooles Bild von meiner Strumpfhose zu haben. Ich liebe sie einfach. Die knallige und auffällige Farbe und die Naht hinten machen es zu einem meiner Lieblings-Accessoires im Overdivity-stil. Bisher hatte ich sie allerdings nur zweimal getragen aus Angst sie zu zerreißen. Was normalerweise immer nach einem Tragen passiert. Diesen Abend hat sie glücklicherweise unbeschadet überstanden.

Nach der Show war ich mit meiner besten Freundin noch einen Cocktail trinken und dabei haben wir lange über das bloggen, verschiedene Projekte und Mode gequatscht. Wir hatten eine Menge Ideen und werden diese in nächster Zeit in Angriff nehmen.

ENG: Two weeks ago I was on a fashion event with a friend, which was a mix of fashion show and dancing. 5 fashion design students presented their ideas under the name of PipkaPipka.
I knew a few elements already from the A+Show, but still it was special and interesting to see and the performance gave a charm to it. Nevertheless the room was too small for such a crowd. I was happy to get some fresh air outside after the show. I took this opportunity to shoot my outfit. I happy to have such a cool photo of my tights, which I love so much! The bright and exe-catching color plus the seam on the back makes them one of my favorite Overdivity-pieces. Till now I have worn them just twice, because I was afraid to rip them, which happens to me usually after wearing tights only once. Luckily it survived the evening unharmed. Afterwards I drank cocktails with my BF and we talked long about blogging, diverse projects and fashion. We had a lot of ideas, which we will realize some time soon.

Project Chic Club

Wie ihr vielleicht schon gelesen habt, haben sich die Mädels von Allfashionblogs wieder mal ein neues, tolles Projekt einfallen lassen. Es nennt sich The Chic Club und ist nochmal in die Rubriken Chic Blogs, Chic Inspiration und Chic Photoseries geteilt. Bei letzterem hab ich mich auch beworben (die Mädels waren auf der Suche nach Fotos im grünen) und bin prompt dabei bei der ersten Fotostrecke. AU REVOIR MES AMIES

Just a very rushed post to let you know that I am alive and well and just about to leave for France (via London- how exciting!)

Apologies for being bad blogger of late but expect lots of posts when I return in two weeks (complete with holiday snaps of macaroons, natch)

Recently, our mixes have received an increasing number of downloads, but the comments have been dwindling to at most one or two per mix. In fact, we have had many mixes that received more than a few hundred downloads but not even a single comment or "thank you". So, starting from our next mix (see picture below), we will release it only after we get at least 10 comments posted under the previous mix ("Hunkalicious 3" for this instance). The comments should be posted under the mix (NOT in the chatbox), and have to be about whether you like the mix or not, or just a simple token of appreciation. Transparent zebra in the city

Diverse Zeitschriften und Online-Portale berichten uns bereits seit einiger Zeit über die kommenden Trends von Herbst und Winter. Unter anderem wird Transparenz eine Rolle spielen. Da die Temperaturen momentan auch eher in Richtung Herbst gehen, kann man sich schon langsam damit auseinandersetzten. Ich habe hierfür ein leicht transparentes Hemd von meinem Freund und eine transparente Tasche mit Zebramuster kombiniert, die ich vor kurzem geschenkt bekommen habe und die ein echter Blickfang ist.

Die Hose ist eine meiner neueren Errungenschaften von H&M. Ich stehe in letzter Zeit einfach auf 7/8 Lange Hosen. Mir graut es auch schon vor dem Winter und der Perspektive wieder Jeans zu tragen. Ich hoffe also, dass der Herbst und Winter noch andere tolle Trends bereithalten, die es erlauben werden, die Jeans im Schrank ruhen zu lassen.

ENG: Diverse magazines and online-portals already report about the coming trends for autumn and winter. Among others transparency will play a part. In the moment the temperatures are rather running in direction for autumn, so it's time to face up with them. I choose lightly transparent shirt from my boyfriend and combined it with the see-through-zebra-pattern-bag, I got a few weeks ago and which is really an eye-catcher.

The pant is one of my newest findings I bought from H&M. Lately I love 7/8 length pants. I dread winter and the perspective of wearing jeans again. So, I hope that autumn and winter hold nice trends, that will allow us to leave the jeans in our wardrobes

Idiosyncrasies

Diesmal gibt es nur ein halbes Outfit von mir, dafür zeig ich euch eine meiner vielen Brillen. Ich habe schon eine ziemlich große Sammlung und trage sie auch gerne, aber damit fotografieren lasse ich mich eher selten. Ich weiß, dass es komisch ist, aber jeder hat ja so seine Macken... und einige haben eben zuviele ;)

Heute Abend geht es dann mit einer Freundin zu einem Modeevent. Freu mich schon sehr drauf und werde natürlich fleißig Fotos machen und euch kommende Woche davon berichten.

ENG: This time i show you just half an outfit, but instead you can see one of my many glasses. I have a huge collection and I love wearing them, but I don't like being photographed with. I know that is really strange, but we all have our own idiosyncrasies... and some people just have too many ;)

This evening I'm going to a fashion-event with a friend. I look forward to it and will take as much pictures as i can, so i can report you about it.

Once I start shopping...

Sobald ich anfange zu shoppen ist es um mich gesehen und ein Shoppingtrip leitet schon gleich den nächsten ein. Vor kurzem war ich mit einer Freundin in der Stadt. Wir wollten nur mal kurz bei H&M was schauen. Ich habe mir dann dort 2 Hosen gekauft und ein Oberteil gesehen, welches mir sehr gefiel, dass in meiner Größe allerdings nicht mehr da war. Also bin ich am nächsten Tag zu einem anderen H&M gefahren, dort gab es das Oberteil zwar auch nicht, aber dafür war ich um 2 Taschen, 3 Basic-Tops und einen Gürtel reicher. Auf dem Rückweg sah ich in einem anderen Schaufenster noch ein süßes Paar Schuhe. Aber gaaanz willensstark bin ich dran vorbei... nur um am nächsten Tag wieder hinzufahren. Die Schuhe gab es leider nicht in meiner Größe, aber das Kleid vom Laden nebenan schon und es war doch auch sooo günstig und schließlich hab ich ja das Geld für die Schuhe nicht ausgegeben, also kann ich es auch in ein kleines schwarzes investieren. 
Und so setzt sich meine Shoppingsucht immer weiter fort! Auf der Suche nach den Schuhen bin ich immer noch und finde so ständig andere schöne Sachen, denen ich nicht (lange) wiederstehen kann.

Bei dem Outfit seht ihr meine neue Shorts und das tolle legere Basic-Oberteil von H&M, welches perfekt war, bei dem heißen Wetter vor kurzem, um es über den Bikini zu ziehen und damit zum See zu fahren.
 


ENG: As soon as I start shopping it's all over for me and one shopping trip leads to the next one.  Not so long ago I was in the city shopping with a friend. We just wanted to take a look around at H&M. I bought 2 pants and saw a top I really liked, but wasn't available in my size. So the next day I drove to another H&M, the top wasn't there either, but I found 2 bags, 1 belt and 3 basic tops. On my way back through the mall I saw a cute pair of shoes in the window. But I told my feet to be obiedient and passed the shop strong-willingly... Just to return the next day! The shoes weren't available in my size too, but the dress in the shop next door was and it was soo cheap. And as I didn't spend the money on shoes, I could invest it into a little black dress. And so my addiction continues! I'm still looking for these shoes though and on my way I find many other nice things I cannot resist (for long).

Here you see my ne Shorts and the great basic shirt from H&M, which was perfect for those hot days a few weeks ago. I was really comfy to pull it over the bikini and drive to the lake.

Summer Challenge- The Life Guard Award

Apologies for not posting anything in 3 weeks but I have been super busy completing something big from my Summer Challenge List... Yes that's right- I'M NOW A FULLY QUALIFIED LIFEGUARD.

Hells yes. So if you need help from drowning just gimme a shout, I am quite the pro now and will be even more so when I get a job at the local pool.

For the past week I have been getting up at 6.30 (even earlier than on a school day) to do 4 hours of swimming trainging and 4 hours of CPR and First Aid training. But it has all paid off and now my certificate is in the post. I'm still buzzing.

So here are some beach and Life Guard (kind of, well not at all) related photos to celebrate from the July 2010 issue of Velvet, modelled by Heather Marks and photographed by Enrique Badulescu. They are making me lust after a waterproof cover for my Canon 1000D...
